I was born and raised near Inverness in the stunning Highlands of Scotland. Alongside Alongside my schooling at Fortrose Academy, my passion is motor racing.  Following a successful number of years in karting at British Championship level I now compete in Formula Ford 1600 single seater racing cars. For 2019 I am signed up to drive for the Kevin Mills Racing team in the Avon Tyres National Formula Ford 1600 Championship. This  championship having been recently voted the top single seater racing car championship in the UK. At an early stage of my karting career Ecurie Ecosse patron Hugh McCaig took me under the wing of the Ecurie Ecosse Racing Organisation.  Ecurie Ecosse helped in the early careers of such notable Scottish talent talent as Allan McNish, David Coulthard & Dario Franchitti. I was also taken on to the Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) Rising Star Programme, receiving invaluable help & advice through their structured workshops & seminars.

In my second year of karting I was awarded the North Of Scotland Kart Club trophy for the most Promising Young Driver & it was an accolade that I managed to repeat in my first year of car racing when I was awarded the trophy by the Scottish Motor Racing Club for the most Promising Young Driver of the Year 2017. My ambition is to make a professional career from driving racing cars & at the highest level I can achieve.  Realistically I believe this would be further helped by doing my second “apprenticeship” year in the iconic National Formula Ford 1600 Championship. Moving on from there I would look for any opportunity in the ‘Road To Indy’ single seater programme programme in America or by taking the GT racing route into the British GT Championship. Ideally progressing on into Sports Prototype Racing cars in Sports Car Endurance Championships.

I believe I have the ability, talent & attributes required, inside & outside of a racing car, to make a successful career in motorsport.  Family & friends have been so supportive & are willing me to succeed & tell me I am the “complete package”. However, as with so many aspiring young athletes, what is missing from that  “complete package” is the financial backing to help take me to a stage where I can achieve my ambitions.

In putting together this brochure I hope that it will excite & interest potential backers to come on a wee journey with me, a young racing driver from the Highlands of Scotland, & see what we can achieve together.
